Car sales skyrocketed to 81% in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2021-22 (FY22) as the tax breaks and lending incentives helped the industry revive amid pandemic.
As per details, the auto sales have seen a rise to 54,598 units from 30,110 units as compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The data shared by Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) revealed that the sales of Pak Suzuki increased by nearly 120% in the first quarter.

Indus Motor Company saw a 59% rise in sales while Honda Atlas experienced an increased sale up to 23%.
As per sources, sales of 1,300 cc vehicles rose up to 39% to reach 23,315 units.
The sales of 1,000 cc cars rose by 173% to reach 15,602 units.
On the other hand, cars below 1,000 cc increased by 105% to reach 15,681 units in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
