Pakistan’s Company to Export Organic Meat to China
The company has remained successful in removing Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) virus from beef by the heating process
Organic Meat Company of Pakistan, which has been delivering all international standards of food hygiene and good manufacturing practices since 2010, has been granted permission by Chinese Customs authorities to export heat-treated beef to China.
The world-class meat processing company was recently listed on Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
Pork meat is highly consumed in China while beef and chicken meat are expected to see a growth in consumption than any other country.
China’s meat segment is expected to generate a revenue of US$69,383 million in 2021 while it is expected to grow annually by 7.43% in the next five years.
Interestingly, the company has been successful in removing Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) virus from beef by the heating process.
One of the officials from Organic meat said, “This process will enable us to access more markets for value-added meat products.”
