Federal Development Budget in FY22 Gets Rs 900bn
The federal ministries will receive Rs 672 billion for development projects, Rs 110 billion for water resources, and Rs 113 billion for National Highway Authority
The federal development budget for the next fiscal year (FY22) is projected at Rs 900 billion as per the document available with News360.
According to the document, the federal ministries will receive Rs 672 billion for development projects, Rs 110 billion for water resources, and Rs 113 billion for National Highway Authority (NHA).
On the other hand, the Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) will be allotted more than Rs 53 billion.

To deal with emergencies and other calamities, Rs 60 billion have been reserved in the budget.
The document said the budget for Higher Education Commission (HEC) will be Rs 37 billion and Rs 14.94 billion for housing and construction.
In the next federal development budget for FY22, Rs 1.84 billion have been earmarked for the information ministry and Rs 22 billion for interior ministry.
As per the document, a budget of Rs 61 billion have been earmarked for Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) while Rs 6 billion have been allocated for the ministry of law and justice.
Apart from this, Rs 22.82 billion have been kept for national health services, Rs 3.7 billion for petroleum division and Rs 30 billion have been reserved for Railway division.
The document read that Rs 8.11 billion are kept for science and technology ministry and Rs 56.2 billion for cabinet division in the next fiscal year.
The upcoming budget will also earmark Rs 14 billion for climate change and Rs 94 billion for finance ministry.
