Foreign Direct Investment Decreased by 2% YoY During 10MFY22
China remained the largest investor with a net FDI of $356M during 10MFY22 compared with $700M during the same period last year.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) during Apr’22 witnessed a net inflow of USD 171 million compared to a net inflow of USD 169 million during Apr’21.
During 10MFY22, FDI has witnessed a decrease of 2% YoY to USD 1,456 million.
China remained the largest investor with a net Foreign Direct Investment of USD 356 million during 10MFY22 compared with USD 700 million during the same period last year.

United States remained the second largest investor with a net FDI of USD 223 million during 10MFY22 compared with USD 113 million during the same period last year.
During 10MFY22, a major investment was poured into the Power sector (USD 528 million) followed by Financial Business Sector (USD 347 million) and Oil and Gas Exploration (USD 185 million).
