Inflation rate stands record high at 42%

The inflation rate in the country is constantly making new records. On a weekly basis, inflation increased by 3.35%. The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) also acknowledged the horrific inflation.

Baked bread for the poor fell. The prices of everyday use items were restrained. Tomato, egg, poultry, flour, meat and other items became expensive.

According to the PBS statistics, in recent week, the price of broiler chicken went up Rs19.12 per kg, tomatoes Rs18.55, onion Rs1.92, eggs Rs3.39 per dozen, mutton Rs5.82, pulses Daal Mong Rs3, Daal Mash Rs1.4, whereas, the rate of flour bag was also increased.

The price of garlic was reduced by Rs3.16 per kg in a week, pulses Daal Masoor Rs1.39 while a slight reduction was witnessed in the rates of Daal Chana, edible oil and ghee.

Citizens were seen complaining about the current government for not paying any attention to controlling inflation then how will they continue the education of their children?
