Merciless decision: Govt hikes petrol price by Rs1.45 per litre

The coalition government has taken a merciless decision and dropped another petrol bomb on the people hoping for relief.

The coalition government has taken a merciless decision and dropped another petrol bomb on the people hoping for relief as the petrol price have been increased by Rs1.45 per litre.

For the people who have been waiting for five days to get petrol at cheaper rates, the government made petrol more expensive instead of reducing its price.

On the night of September 21, the price of petrol was increased by Rs1.45 per litre. The Finance Ministry issued a notification late at night according to which the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs237.43 per litre.

No change has been made in the price of diesel per litre and the new price of diesel remains at Rs247.43 per litre. The price of kerosene has been reduced by Rs8.30 per litre
and the new price of kerosene has been fixed at Rs202.02 per litre.

The price of light diesel has been reduced by Rs4.26 per litre and a notification has been issued to fix the new price of light diesel at Rs197.28 per litre.

People are worried about this decision of the government because they were expecting relief in petroleum products.

The petrol price was increased when the oil prices slumped to the lowest in the global market, whereas, the delay of five days has given billions of profit to the coalition government which also snatched the relief from the nationals.

News360 reported earlier that the delayed announcement of the petrol price created confusion among the nationals as they were expecting a decrease in petroleum products following a reduction of oil prices in the global market.

Speculations started after the delayed announcement that the federal government may not give benefit to the masses following reduced oil prices.
