The ministry of planning has unveiled public spending budget for the fiscal year 2021-2022 (FY22).

The documents read by News360 disclosed that the ministry has proposed Rs 103 billion for the energy sector for the next fiscal year.

There is a proposal of spending Rs 99 billion for water projects while it has been recommended allocating Rs 265 billion for transport and communication in FY22.

The planning ministry has suggested earmarking Rs 28 billion for health sector and Rs 37 billion for higher education in the country.

For merged tribal areas, the ministry has proposed an allocation of Rs 54 billion along with Rs 45 billion for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

News360 learned that the planning ministry has also suggested earmarking Rs 34 billion for the least developed areas of Sindh, Balochistan and other parts of the country.
