Pakistan Starts Novel Journey By Exporting Smartphones
The first ‘Made in Pakistan’ shipment contained 5,500 4G smartphones that were manufactured by Inovi Telecom
In a non-traditional occurrence, Pakistan has started exporting smartphones as it dispatched the first ‘Made in Pakistan’ consignment to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday.
The first ‘Made in Pakistan’ shipment contained 5,500 4G smartphones that were manufactured by Inovi Telecom.
Inovi Telecom Pvt Ltd received the green signal for local manufacturing of smartphones in April and it fulfilled the inaugural order within four months.

The assembling plant of the company is located in Karachi.

He termed the export of smartphones as the beginning of product diversification from traditional exports.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) termed the successful implementation of the government’s mobile manufacturing policy for creating a favorable environment for mobile phone manufacturing in the country.
The successful implementation of Device Identification Registration and Blocking System (#DIRBS) and enabling government policies including the Mobile Manufacturing Policy have created a favorable environment for mobile device manufacturing in Pakistan.
