Petrol crisis, worst loadshedding hit Punjab

Pakistanis are now suffering from different issues including petrol shortage and worst loadshedding just after the departure of the PTI government.

LAHORE: Political crisis has always different crisis in the country as Pakistanis are now suffering from different issues including petrol shortage and worst loadshedding just after the departure of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government.

The new government led by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) made several administrative changes and the policy changes created many crises including electricity shortfall that means unannounced loadshedding and the shortage of petrol and diesel in view of the expected rise in the prices of the petroleum products in the coming day.

Wheat harvesting season is in full swing in Punjab, the largest province of Pakistan. Almost every small and the big farmer is harvesting wheat and the demand for diesel is increasing these days. Diesel has become scarce due to prospects of a massive rise in its prices, leaving the farmers in extreme trouble.

While talking to News360, the citizens expressed concern over the increase in petrol and diesel prices and said that it has become very difficult for the people to run their households. If prices rise, everything will become more expensive.

The people slammed the rulers as some of them blamed the Imran Khan’s former government and others criticised the present government. A citizen said that all politicians call each other thieves but no one thinks for the people.

A citizen said that during the Imran Khan government, there was no load shedding and no increase in oil prices. People are now facing the same problems once again as in old Pakistan.

Another citizen said that Shehbaz Sharif has just come into the government and he should be given some time to end the problems of Imran Khan’s era.

One of the petrol pump owners told News360, Hafiz Bilal Butt said that it is very important to increase the rates due to high prices in the international market. Ignoring the international market, the petroleum products’ prices were reduced, which may be their a political stunt, but it caused serious difficulties for the petroleum companies.

At present, not only the people but also the petroleum companies and petrol pumps are being affected by this crisis.
