A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee was held under the chairmanship of Noor Alam Khan.
In the meeting, the FIA officials said that the Premier service was started on the instructions of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the decision to start the Premier service was taken in the PIA board meeting, however, the decision to launch the service was not shared by the board as no one disagreed with the plan.
The audit authorities said that FIA cannot close the PAC paragraphs by itself,, Chairman Noor Alam Khan said that the theory of need to benefit anyone will not be tolerated. The enemy of PIA is the one who abolished the business class. Nur Alam Khan said that PIA is suffering from financial loss, officers and their families are being given free tickets.
Mushahid Hussain Syed said that tickets are being given to the Board of Directors, former Board of Directors and their families, on which the Public Accounts Committee directed the PIA to end the free tickets.
