PM lauds FBR on record revenue collection

The board has earned a net revenue of Rs1841bn from July to October, which is Rs233bn billion more than target.

The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has earned a net revenue of Rs1841 billion this fiscal year from July to October, which is Rs233 billion more than the set target of Rs1608 billion.

This fiscal year July-October, the FBR achieved a record increase of 36.6 percent in the revenue collection.

The board of revenue has released the initial details of the revenues received in the current fiscal year from 2021-22 (July to October), according to which the FBR has received a net revenue collection of Rs1841 billion rupees.

According to the statistics, revenue increased from Rs1347 billion rupees collected last year to Rs1841 billion, registering 36.6 per cent increase.

The FBR has also released the statistics of October. The month of October revenue net collection was Rs440 billion rupees, which is 30.5 percent more than the net revenue of October 2020 last year.

According to the FBR, the revenue is expected to increase further after the end of the last day of the month of October and the book adjustment.

Similarly, gross revenue this year stood at Rs1932 billion with a 36.7 per cent increase as compared to Rs1413 billion from July to October 2020.

According to official statistics, refunds of Rs91 billion rupees were released in July-October 2021, which was Rs66 billion rupees last year. The release of refunds has increased by 37.7 per cent.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated the FBR on receiving Rs1841 billion net revenue and shared a message on social networking website Twitter.
