PomPak: Pakistan launches first e-learning financial literacy game
Pakistan has launched its first e-learning financial literacy game that teaches you all about money.
KARACHI: Pakistan has launched its first e-learning financial literacy game, PomPak – Learn to Earn, that teaches you all about money – how to save it, how to spend it, and how to make it.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), through its National Financial Literacy Programme for Youth (NFLP-Y), is going to promote financial education to Pakistani youth through an engaging and interactive game called ‘PomPak – Learn to Earn’.
English and Urdu will be delivered through a story-based game format for helping to understand apply principles of financial literacy.
According to SBP, it was designed to enhance money management skills and financial knowledge for Pakistan’s youth and school-going children, the content developed targets three age groups including children (9-12), adolescents (13-17) and youth (18-29).
While describing the app’s details on its website, it will follow the story of two entrepreneurial families as they tackle personal, financial, and business decisions. “In just a couple of hours, you can master the essentials of saving, budgeting, borrowing, and banking, among many other topics,” it read.
Those who have completed the will be awarded free financial literacy certificates from a project of the central bank.
The NFLP-Y aims to provide financial education to the youth for strengthening their money management skills and understanding of financial matters.
