Another favor of Shehbaz Sharif government on people hit by inflation, Sui Southern and Sui Northern gas companies have fixed gas meter rent from Rs 40 to Rs 500.
The peculiar logic of Sui Southern and Sui Northern emerged to meet the revenue requirements. Both the gas companies have increased the gas meter rent by 12 times.
People across the country were worried about gas bills in April. The rent of someone’s gas meter increased from 37.5 rupees to 500 rupees, while the rent of someone increased from 40 rupees to 500 rupees.
On getting the details, the officials told News360 that this decision has been taken to reduce the losses and increase the revenue of the companies.
Since January 1, the rent of gas meters has been increased to reduce losses and increase revenue. However, this has been applied to consumers who consume more gas, while consumers who consume less gas are also complaining about the meter rent being Rs 500
