Shezan Bakers, Confectionaries: Owners clarify ‘they are Muslims’

Owners of Shezan Bakers, Confectionaries have clarified that they are Muslims and running the same businesses since 1975.

The owners of Shezan Bakers, Confectionaries and the Shezan Restaurant and Hotel have rejected the propaganda against them for being Qadyanis and clarified that they are Muslims and running the same businesses since 1975.

A freelance journalist Tehreem Azeem shared pictures of a publication which appears to be a clarification publication from Lahore-based Shezan Bakers, Confectionaries, Restaurant and Hotel.

It started with bold header, “Alhumdullillah!” and then they wrote that their company is an independent entity which is owned by a Muslim family since 1975. “Only in Lahore, all branches of Shezan Bakers and Shezan Restaurants are administered by the same Muslim family. We don’t have any partnership or connection with any of the Qadiyani-owned firm. Some elements are trying to dent our business and religious reputation by levelling the allegations that we are Qadiyani or Mirzai.”

It read that Shezan owners believed Qadiyanis infidels and the renowned clerics of Jamia Naimiya Lahore confirmed that they are Muslims.

The post attracted several comments from the netizens. A user wrote, “These are separate entities. This juice is neither bakery item nor restaurant. Baqi Allah behter janta hai.”

Another said, “Whatever their religion or creed may be but their products are splendid. We are unfortunate that we can’t get their products in Malakand Division.”
