Hostages families spend their Second Hanukkah Away From Their Loved Ones Held by Hamas

The Hostages’ Families Mark First Night of Hanukkah – Their Second Hanukkah Away From Their Loved Ones Held by Hamas.

Yesterday thousands attended the Shift 101 at the Shaul Gate of the Kirya base in Tel Aviv. Mothers and female relatives of the hostages, joined by many supporters, held a three-hour silent protest in white clothing, demanding an immediate deal to return all hostages.

Following the vigil, hostages’ mothers and family members led the candle lighting ceremony at Beit Ariela in Tel Aviv. Shira Albag, mother of Liri Albag, lit the first candle while participants prayed together for the return of the 100 hostages.

Attendees included: Simona Steinbrecher (Doron’s mother), Shira Albag (Liri’s mother), Orly Gilboa (Daniela’s mother), Ayelet Levy Shachar (Naama’s mother), Hamas captivity survivor Yocheved Lifshitz (Oded’s wife), Hadassa Lazar (Shlomo Mantzur’s sister), and Shay Dickmann (Carmel Gat’s cousin).

Shay Dickmann, cousin of the late Carmel Gat, said: “We won’t let the light go out. We must light the first candle and begin the deal. May each candle light the next until all our light returns with the homecoming of 100 hostages through a deal.”
