“I have seen horrors of terrorism in Pakistan and I know what it felt when you get struck by terror in your own backyard, so what Hamas did on October 7th is reprehensible.. which is completely against Islam’s teachings”, said Mubashir Zaidi who is a Pakistani American visiting Israel with other fellow Journalists while talking to Israeli News TV ‘Channel 14’.
Mubashir further said that “his visit to Israel has certainly changed his perception about the Jewish state and on his return to US he will talk to his friends and family regarding misconception planted in Muslim minds especially Pakistanis that Israel is some evil country and people living there are enemies of the Islamic world”.
He futher elaborated that Abraham Accord is the initiative which should be followed by other Muslim countries to bridge divide between the Islamic world and Israel.
Mubashir emphasized that Muslim world should not deny Holocaust because during his trip he has learnt first hand about the horrors of Holocaust while visiting ‘Yad Visham’
On the query from the anchor whether he fears threats and hate on his return from Israel by his countrymen, Zaidi replied that he is use to hate and social media lashing..but his job is to tell the truth and clear misconceptions regarding any given issue.
The Pakistani American delegation is on a visit to Israel from December 1st, 2024 till December 6th, 2024 which is being arranged by Sharaka an NGO which is working diligently to bridge divide between Israel and Islamic world.
During their visit they have held meetings at Israeli Parliament Knesset and have been briefed about Holocaust at ‘Yad Visham’, Israeli Holocaust Musuem.
