Israeli PM and Hostages families thankful to Trump for staunch support
Israeli Hostage families appealed to their govt and US President to finalize a deal to bring all hostages home, they also thanks Donald Trump for his unwavering support for them.
In their statement they said that, “President Trump, your powerful demands for all hostages to be released gave us something we have been desperate for hope.”
Representatives of the hostages’ families delivered an urgent statement addressing the critical need to return all remaining hostages. They implored that negotiations continue without delay and pressed for finalizing a comprehensive deal to secure the immediate release of all hostages in a single phase, emphasizing that time is running out for those still in captivity.
Ilay David, brother of Evyatar David, who appeared with his friend Guy Gilboa Dalal in a Hamas propaganda video last week said that: “For more than 500 days, Hamas has tortured him. For more than 500 days, they have starved him. For more than 500 days, they have denied him the most basic human dignity.
Last week, I finally saw my brother for the first time since his kidnapping—but only in a cruel propaganda video orchestrated by Hamas. In that video, Evyatar and his best friend, Guy Gilboa Dalal, were locked inside a van, forced to watch as other hostages were freed—only to have the door slammed in their faces. This was not just psychological torture; it was proof of Hamas’s cruelty. They are not holding hostages for negotiation. They are holding them to break them. To use them as pawns. To torture them for the world to see. We know what Hamas is doing to them. Those who have been released have told us the truth—the starvation, the beatings, the endless suffering. Evyatar and the others do not have much time left.
President Trump, in just a few weeks, you have done what others could not—brought dozens of hostages home. Families have been reunited because of your leadership, and for that, we are deeply grateful. Your powerful demands for all hostages to be released gave us something we have been desperate for—hope. Now, we need you to finish this.
President Trump, bring us a better deal, a safer deal. No stages, no phases. One deal to bring everyone home,” he added.
Ella Ben Ami, daughter of released hostage Ohad Ben Ami said that: “I am just returning from the heartbreaking funeral of Shlomo Mantzur. This week and last week have been filled with funerals that could have been prevented—funerals of precious people whom we couldn’t save in time and were murdered there.
My father could have died there at any moment. There is no choice but to close a deal now and bring everyone home before another tragedy occurs—one that we can still prevent.
My father is a clear example of the malnutrition that exists in captivity, endangering the hostages’ lives daily. What I hear from my father at home—about the cramped tunnel where he had to live, the foul-smelling sheet and moldy sponge that served as a pillow, the daylight he lacked for a year and a half, and the harsh conditions he endured—these are just a small part of the nightmare the hostages are experiencing in Gaza.
Since he returned and told me about the five ‘brothers’ he left behind. The priority is clear: first, bring my brothers home. Immediately. They don’t have time. There will be plenty of time to deal with Hamas afterward.
Finally, I’ll tell you about my father, who checks the clock at every meal to see if the hostages there have eaten yet, who takes half a pita at the end of the meal to feel closer to them. The returnees who have come back cannot recover until all the hostages return home. Government of Israel, don’t let them bear this burden on their shoulders alone,” she concluded.
Meanwhile Israeli PM Netanyahu in a statement also showed his gratitude to US President, he said that: “I want to thank President Trump for his unwavering support for Israel.
During my recent visit to Washington, I said that Donald Trump is the greatest friend that Israel has ever had in the White House.
And President Trump shows that friendship each and every day.
He has shown it through his visionary plan for Gaza, this is a plan which Israel fully supports.
He’s shown it by sending us all the munitions that were being held up. This way he is giving Israel the tools we need to finish the job against Iran’s terror axis.
And he has shown it by fully backing Israel and putting the pressure to release the hostages where it truly belongs – on Hamas.
Israel has accepted President Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff’s plan to extend the temporary ceasefire by 50 days, during that time we can discuss the conditions for a permanent ceasefire that will end the war in Gaza.
In Witkoff’s plan, half of the hostages would be released right away and the remaining half would be released if we reach an agreement on a permanent ceasefire.
Again, Israel has accepted this plan. I accepted this plan. But so far, Hamas has rejected it.
Hamas had also put forward positions for a permanent ceasefire that are totally unacceptable.
Israel has decided to stop letting goods and supplies into Gaza, something we’ve done for the past 42 days. We’ve done that because Hamas steals the supplies and prevents the people of Gaza from getting them.
It uses these supplies to finance its terror machine, which is aimed directly at Israel and our civilians – and this we cannot accept.
We will take further steps if Hamas continues to hold our hostages. And throughout this, Israel knows that America and President Trump have our back.
Thank you again, President Trump!
Thank you for all you are doing to return our hostages, bolster our security and provide a future of prosperity and peace for all the peoples of the Middle East”, Netanyahu concluded.
