Post October 7 Hamas terror, Pakistani American delegation lands in Israel
In the backdrop of Hamas’s horrific terrorism on October 7th, 2023 a group of distinguished Pakistani Americans has reached Jerusalem with a mission to understand what happened on the dreadful day and the trauma with which the Israelis are going through since then.
The delegation is being hosted the Non Governmental Organization ‘Sharaka’ whose objective is to bridge divide between the Jewish state and the Muslim world.
Sharaka was founded in the wake of the Abraham Accords, which was brokered by the Trump administration in 2020 and normalized relations between Israel and four Arab countries — the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.
The itinerary of the delegations visit is from December 1st, 2024 till December 6, 2024, which includes their visit to historic and holy sites of Jerusalem.
They will also tour the sites of Oct 7. terror attacks to gain a better appreciation of the current war and geopolitical picture.
They will attend seminar at Yad Vashem, Israel’s national Holocaust Museum and education institute. Participants will engage in a series of in-person and online lectures and conversations, about the Holocaust, extremism, genocides in modern history.
The delegates will also visit ‘Knesset’ the Israeli parliament where they will meet parliamentarians to exchange views on Israel’s democratic traditions and its overall politics.
The delegation consists of renowned Pakistani Americans with a background in Journalism, Academia and Social Media influencers.
