Explosion in Tank kills 5 policemen

An explosion near a police vehicle in Dera Ismail Khan’s district Tank killed five policemen on Friday. Police said a total of 21 people were injured in the blast as well.

Reports said that firing broke out after the explosion. A heavy contingent of police arrived on the scene after the blast was reported.

Police said that 21 people had been injured in the incident.

The explosion took place in Tank Ada as a vehicle was carrying policemen to duty. Initial reports said that the explosives had been fixed to a motorcycle.

The injured are being shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital.
