Four Khawarij’s sent to hell in Punjab

Punjab Police on Saturday killed four terrorists in an exchange of fire during a successful intelligence-based operation in Dera Ghazi Khan’s Kot Mubarak area.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the operation was launched after reports of the movement of outlawed Khawarij terrorists in the border area between Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As the police teams moved swiftly to cordon off the area, they came under heavy fire from the militants, leading to a fierce gun battle.

During the encounter, four terrorists were gunned down, and weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession. However, some suspects managed to escape under the cover of bushes and mounds. A search and sweep operation is currently underway to apprehend the remaining elements.

The spokesperson said the Khawarij terrorists had been spreading fear among citizens by targeting various locations, but the prompt and decisive action by the police thwarted their plans.

He added that the operation was conducted under the supervision of RPO Dera Ghazi Khan Captain (retd) Sajjad Hassan Khan, with DPO Syed Ali leading the field teams.

Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr Usman Anwar lauded the Dera Ghazi Khan police for eliminating the terrorists and reaffirmed that Punjab Police stood as an unbreakable wall against extremist threats.

“We will never allow anti-state elements to succeed in their nefarious designs,” IG Anwar asserted.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the police for repelling the attack, saying the force once again demonstrated exceptional bravery in combating Khawarij terrorists.

“We salute the police team for foiling the attack. We are proud of the courageous and professional sons of Punjab Police,” he added.
