Karachi doctor kills daughter, boyfriend as he sprays their car with bullets

A doctor killed his daughter and her alleged boyfriend after spraying bullets at their car in the Bhakar Goth of Karachi’s Abul Hassan Isphani Road on Thursday night, the police said.

The deceased girl was identified as Laraib, 17, and Ahsan Waqar. The police have detained the suspect, Dr Rafique Sheikh, and his son Abdullah. They were on a bike.

The police have also recovered the weapon used in the murder.

The police claimed that the suspect, Dr Rafique Sheikh, killed his daughter for honour. Dr Sheikh alleged that Waqar opened fire at him first. But according to the police the accused sprayed bullets after a heated argument with Waqar.

Ahsan had arrived at the scene to drop Laraib who lived nearby.

Earlier this month, Sindh MPA Muhammad Aslam Abro’s brother and nephew were killed after unidentified assailants opened fire on their vehicle in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority.
