Actor Anwar Iqbal Clapbacks at Fans For Breaching Privacy

Pakistani veteran actor Anwar Iqbal Baloch wrote a response on Facebook, where he asked his followers to respect his privacy, a day after his pictures from the hospital went viral.

Last week, some social media web pages spread the news of the actor being unwell and posted his photo while requesting his followers to pray for his speedy recovery.

Previously, many internet users have floated the severe health conditions of their favorite personalities, asking people for donations and prayers.

Similarly, Anwar Iqbal’s bedridden photo took the internet by storm, after some web pages started circulating it accompanied by emotional captions.

However, the actor’s response to it was completely unexpected as the 71-year-old took the matter to his Facebook handle and expressed his discomfort for breaching his privacy.

“I am humbled by the concern and love shown by everyone for my health but also disappointed by some of you that have breached my privacy, the privacy of my family, and the hospital’s by clicking unsolicited pictures of me and spreading them over social media”, he said.

He added, “I have been chronically ill for some time and have been getting the best treatment possible under the supervision of Karachi’s best board of doctors”.

Anwar Iqbal, who did his Masters from the University of Karachi, made his debut as an actor in the first Balochi feature film Hammal o Mahganj in 1976, however, he achieved fame with the hit Pakistani drama series Shama.

He is a son of a well-known politician from Balochistan Haji Muhammad Iqbal Baloch, who played a prominent role in the independence of Pakistan and in highlighting the importance of the Gwadar Sea Port to the Pakistani government.
