While addressing Usama’s claim that the case filed by Meesha hasn’t been heard by the courts, Umer maintained that the female singer filed her complaint before Woman Ombudsperson and Governor Punjab, and both the cases were dismissed after Ali’s detailed reply.
“District Court, Magistrate, and we are anxiously waiting to hear Meesha’s truth but she is not willing to come. Let be fair to People”, he added.
In the thread, Ali Zafar’s lawyer also asserted that the plaintiff has produced almost 12 eyewitnesses including 2 women who denied Meesha Shafi’s allegations.

Activist Leena Ghani, who is also nominated in the vilification case by Ali Zafar, didn’t receive the facts well and popped up on Umer Tariq’s post to respond.
She wrote that the lawyer failed to mention that some of the witnesses for Ali refused to show up as they felt they couldn’t lie in the court.
Along with the post, she shared the picture of the list of witnesses named by the plaintiff Ali.
The claim by Leena was well responded by Ali Zafar’s lawyer who maintained that they have produced all relevant witnesses.
“We think that Ali has proved his case with 12 witnesses so no more witnesses were required”, he added.
Not only this, Umer Tariq schooled Leena with the fact that Meesha provided a list of 20 witnesses and only 7 appeared in the court in the last couple of years.
Your tweet is misconceived. We have produced all the witnesses which were relevant. List of witnesses is submitted at the initial stage of trial & the party submitting the same write name of all the witnesses which according to said party could be helpful in the case. https://t.co/c1TKl3UCVS

“In fact, Meesha’s witnesses refused to appear in court & therefore Meesha filed an application to summon them & requested Court’s assistance”.
