The bridal wear advertisement concluded that the tradition of Kanyadaan should be replaced with Kanyamaan.
Most of the internet users including Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut poured scorn on the concept.
Kangana took to her social media and asked the brands to keep their hands away from religion and stop manipulating the customers.

Twitter right now is brimming with posts against Alia and her appearance in the ad.
Dear @aliaa08 as you do not practice sanatan dharm and you do not know the meaning of kanyadaan, you are not eligible to talk about it. You are eligible to talk about Halala, Triple Talak or the black mosquito net or how women are kheti in certain cult. @Manyavar_ shame on you !

The latest Manyavar ad featuring Alia Bhatt (of all people) talking about stopping “Kanyadaan” & starting “kanyamaan” is not accidental but another deliberate attempt by wokes & LeLi at “Dismantling Hindutva”
