The ad shows a bride (Alia) praising her family members for their unconditional love but same time raising questions over the traditional thinking related to a Kanya (daughter).

The bridal wear advertisement concluded that the tradition of Kanyadaan should be replaced with Kanyamaan.

Most of the internet users including Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut poured scorn on the concept.

Kangana took to her social media and asked the brands to keep their hands away from religion and stop manipulating the customers.

“Humble request to all brands. Don’t use religion, minority, majority politics to sell things. Stop manipulating naive consumer with shrewd divisive concepts and advertising”, she penned down.
