Azba Abdullah slams Sahil Adeem in new video

Azba Abdullah, who recently went viral for arguing on women’s rights in a TV program, has released a new video message, criticizing Internet personality Sahil Adeem’s remarks on women.

She gained fame after appearing on a new episode of the show Mukalma with Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and Sahil Adeem.

Azba has been criticized by Adeem due to his stance that the majority of women in Pakistan are illiterate.

Abdullah took to the social media platform, Instagram, releasing a video to counter-argue Adeem’s stance.

She captioned the video: “Be a voice for the voiceless.”

In her new video, Abdullah addressed those who supported the channel’s panel against her.

She has demanded Adeem to apologize for his illiterate stance against women, expressing that women are asking him he should be guilty of his statement.

She has stated that women make up 95% of Pakistan’s population and that Adeem’s labeling of 95% of Pakistanis as “illiterate” is unacceptable.

Abdullah questions how the majority of the population can be expected to accept such a statement.

Addressing Adeem directly, she has stated that the women of Pakistan are serving in every field of life, and his statement has undermined their efforts.

She has also expressed the need for women without Pakistan cannot progress without the support of women.

“The success of women in different fields has been destroyed due to this statement. I have no personal grudge against you,” she said.

Sahil Adeem drew flak on social media for saying that “95 per cent of the women in Pakistan were ignorant.”

“These women have awareness about dance, cooking, and makeup but they have no awareness of Islam,” he said and wondered how mosques would mobilise them.
