Bushra Ansari blamed for ‘nepotism’ after calling out dynastic politics

The versatile personality of the Pakistani showbiz industry, Bushra Ansari, has been blamed for 'nepotism' by a netizen after she called out dynastic politics

The versatile personality of the Pakistani showbiz industry, Bushra Ansari, has been blamed for ‘nepotism’ by a netizen after she called out dynastic politics in the country and exhibited support to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former premier Imran Khan.

Bushra Ansari started her acting career as a child performer in the 1950s and is now known as a versatile celebrity who is at once an actress, comedian, singer and playwright. She bagged several awards for her contributions to the arts while many of Ansari’s family members are also associated with the showbiz industry.

She is also known as a staunch supporter of PTI and Imran Khan who she thinks challenging the dynastic politics in Pakistan.

Recently, a netizen mixed dynastic politics with acting dynasty and status quo on social media and blamed Ansari for nepotism.

The netizen wrote on Twitter that she is standing with Imran Khan against dynastic politics and the status quo.

The user added that Bushra’s sister Asma Abbas is also an actor while the daughter of the latter Zara Noor Abbas is married to another actor Asad Siddiqui who is the nephew of actor Adnan Siddiqui. The netizen termed it ‘nepotism to the core’, adding, ‘Then they have audacity to criticise.”

However, another netizen schooled the user who criticised Ansari and said there is a significant difference between a TV dynasty and a political dynasty. The netizen commented, “Oh you are comparing a TV dynasty with a political dynasty? Hahaha how TV dynasty make decisions for 22 crore public? I am still so confused about this tweet.”

A user wrote, “There is nothing wrong if one wants to follow their parents like the Bush/Clinton family (USA) however it must be through merit, most of these people r pretty good with their job.”

It is unjust to ruthlessly compare dynasties in politics and showbiz unless an actor is given superiority over others just for being a family member of a celebrity, without analysing the quality of the art the showbiz individual is delivering to the audiences.
