WEB DESK: 16-year-old Charli D’Amelio has become the first TikTok user to gain 100 million subscribers, in record time.
After posting countless videos on TikTok for over a year, Charli D’Amelio, from Norwalk, Connecticut, secured 100 million subscribers.
Her recording breaking achievement took place just days after a dispute over her video scandal went viral.
During the first episode of her family’s new reality series, Dinner with the D’Amelios, fans proclaimed that the TikTok star disrespected the personal chef, Aaron May, who cooked their dinner.
In disapproval, over 600,000 fans unfollowed her and flooded her social media accounts with hateful comments.

However, following an apology video shared by D’Amelio, the outrage contracted as she promised to do better in the future, gaining her followers back.
She later thanked fans for helping her achieve this milestone through a tweet.

The internet celebrity’s dancing videos first went viral in May 2019, gaining her over five million followers in less than a week.
She was also the first person to hit 50 million subscribers back in April 2020.
The TikTok star has collaborated with various multinational companies on different fashion and make-up lines, and also had a Dunkin’ Donuts drink named after her.
Such brand deals have said to have earned her an estimated $4 million over the span of a year.
Her first book, Charli: The Ultimate Guide To Keeping It Real, is scheduled to be published later in 2020.
