Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry announced that the cinemas will reopen in 8 cities of Pakistan except Karachi and Lahore.
The cities include Gilgit, Skardu, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Quetta, and Peshawar.

After the fall of covid-19 cases in the country, certain restrictions were lifted and now the government has announced to reopen the theaters for the citizens.
As the world welcomed another James Bond film, Pakistanis were puzzled that whether they will ever revisit the cinemas in their country.
Not only this, celebrities were also waiting eagerly for the government to lift ban from the theaters including actor Fahad Mustafa.
Fahad Mustafa reached out to his Twitter handle and seemed hopeful that Pakistan is going to open cinemas for movie lovers as the world is returning towards normalcy.
The demand came at a time when Fahad’s film Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad opposite Mahira Khan is still in the pipeline to release.
On the other hand, Karachiites and Lahoris are of the view that reopening of cinemas in 8 cities with the exception of Karachi and Lahore will be a blow for the industry.
