Defence Day Kindles Memories of Mahira & Ayesha

Mahira is playing the role of Pakistan’s first female 3-star General while Ayesha is a police officer in Abu Aleeha's film

Observing Defence Day on September 6, two prominent personalities of the entertainment industry Ayesha Omar and Mahira Khan penned down their experiences in Javed Iqbal and Aik Hai Nigar respectively.

Mahira is playing the role of Pakistan’s first female 3-star General in an upcoming telefilm Aik Hai Nigar.

The 3-star General Nigar Johar is the first woman in the history of Pakistan to be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-General.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Mahira put down her thoughts of shooting Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) telefilm.

“During the making of Aik Hai Nigar, I grew to love the uniform I wore every morning, my heart used to burst with pride every time I saw the medics work, every time I heard of stories of courage and valor”, she wrote.

Mahira thanked and saluted the Pakistani armed forces for serving the nation every day.

On the other hand, Ayesha Omar is going to be a police officer in the film The Untold Story of a Serial Killer: Javed Iqbal, written and directed by Abu Aleeha.

In the film, Ayesha will be investigating Iqbal’s case, who sexually abused and killed more than 100 children in Lahore between 1998 and 1999.

In the latest Instagram post, Ayesha Omar also praised the efforts of armed forces for protecting and serving the country.
