Fakhar-e-Alam Joins Ali Zafar In New Rap Competition

Famous actor and TV host Fakhar-e-Alam is in the panel of judges who will be choosing the best three participating rappers to be featured alongside Ali Zafar in his upcoming rap video.

Fakhar-e-Alam is a Pakistani actor, TV host, VJ, and singer, popular for introducing the bhangra-rap fusion genre of music in Pakistan.

Though he is still considered a pioneer of bhangra-rap music culture in Pakistan, he is much more popular for hosting TV shows and appearing in the military and governmental sponsored music shows.

He has also served as the chairman of the Sindh Board of Film Censors from 2013 to 2016.

In 2018, he became the first Pakistani to circumnavigate the globe solo in what he called ‘Mission Parwaaz’.

Young rappers are excited to have Fakhar-e-Alam on the panel of judges for the upcoming rap competition by Ali Zafar.

Ali Zafar is working on a rap song titled ‘Hazir Hai’ where three participants who will get featured in his video would also be doled out cash prizes.

Ali Zafar then revealed that public votes will help shortlist 30 rappers along with a panel of judges, the panel features Kamran Rashid Khan, who is a Detroit-based American rapper and songwriter of Pakistani descent, Fakhar-e-Alam, who introduced bhangra rap in Pakistan, Entity Paradigm’s Ahmad Ali Butt, and Young Stunners’ Talha Yunus.

Defining the scheme of the competition, he asked the participants to rap on the beat of the ‘Hazir Hai’ track whose teaser was released by the singer on his Twitter handle.

The pop star said that the best rapper would be chosen based on the number of likes and comments on the video while judges will also review it.
