Young Dolph dies: famous rapper was shot and killed in a Memphis cookie shop

Maurice Hill, the owner of Makeda’s Cookie’s bakery where the 36-year-old musician went to buy cookies for his mother, told FOX 13 that an individual shot Young Dolph at least twice.

“He was inside Makeda’s Cookie’s and someone came up to him and took his life,” said Mareno Myers, Young Dolph’s cousin.

Memphis Police, which are investigating the musician’s murder and have yet to have a suspect, called Young Dolph’s shooting and death “senseless” and a “horrific act of violence.”

After news of the shooting death of Young Dolph broke, hundreds of people moved to the scene of the shooting to say goodbye to the rapper.

Young Dolph was in Memphis to visit a cancer-stricken aunt and celebrate Thanksgiving with her family.

Young Dolph has already been shot more times: In 2017 Young Dolph was shot at the door of a Hollywood shoe store, receiving bullet wounds in his arms and buttocks.

In 2021, the rapper’s truck received more than 100 gunshot wounds in Charlotte, North Carolina.
