Fans Started Moral Policing Sarwat Gilani on ‘Bare Legs’

“You were my inspiration but is this a way you inspire people?”, one of the fans inquired

For the past few months, moral policing of actors by fans is becoming a trend on social media. Pakistani television and film actress Sarwat Gilani got an earful on a post for ‘inappropriate attire’, according to her fans.

Jawani Phir Nahi Ani actress, famous for her bold and audacious personality, posted a picture on Instagram and captioned it ‘Saturday Night Vibes!’.

The star donned an elegant blue outfit and was looking strikingly beautiful in the post.

However, many of Sarwat’s fans seemed disgruntled and sprung for moral policing on her dressing.

A number of comments popped up on the post, running down the actress for not wearing a ‘fully covered dress’.

“You were my inspiration but is this a way you inspire people?”, one of the fans inquired. One of her followers even poured scorn and made remarks about her age.

Sarwat, unswayed by cavils, posted another photo the very next day with a caption to hit those who grudged, ‘Sunday vibes in full clothes’.
