Fawad Meets “Osman” in Turkey & Ignores Pashto Ertugrul
After the success of the Turkish series in Pakistan, a Pashto adaptation of the drama has been produced in Peshawar as a satire

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry was on a trip in Turkey with his family where the minister visited the sets of Turkish series “Kurulus: Osman”, however, the cast of Pashto adaption of Ertugrul in Pakistan remained unnoticed.
Fawad Chaudhry on his recent trip to Turkey met the lead actor Burak Ozcivit who is playing the role of Osman Ghazi, the famous historical figure of Turkey and the founder of the Ottoman Empire.
Minister’s picture with the star on sets of Kurulus: Osman went viral on social media.
The Turkish series is the sequel to Dirilis: Ertugrul that was highly popular in Pakistan when on-aired on the state’s national channel, PTV.
The series is based on the history of Turkish Muslim leaders who fought bravely for spreading the religion.

However, the cast of Pashto adaptation is waiting for Minister Fawad Chaudhry to meet them on the sets as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement.

Though possibly a sitcom, the star cast and crew worked hard in a limited budget and technical support as compared to the original Turkish series.
As per the reports, one episode of the Turkish drama cost around $200,000, however, the Pakistani Pashto adaptation has been shot on a very small budget with limited technical facilities.
