After Kashmir Files, another Indian propaganda film ‘The Kerala Story’ has come under criticism. Indian media and public circles have severely criticized subject of film.

In teaser of film, it was claimed that 32,000 girls from Kerala went to Afghanistan and became part of ISIS after accepting Islam, but after criticism, the filmmaker has backed away from his claim.

According to Hindustan Times, film’s teaser, initially released on YouTube, claimed that film is about heart-wrenching stories of 32,000 girls from the southern Indian state of Kerala who, after converting to Islam, migrated to Afghanistan with their husbands. They moved and became part of Daesh and now they are facing difficulties there.

However, after questions were raised on film by many social activists, journalists and state ministers of Kerala, the filmmaker changed his mind and mentioned 32,000 girls in the details of the teaser of film on YouTube, and the film is the true story of only 3 girls. It has been declared to contain.

Former Indian Foreign Minister Shashi Tharoor also pointed out the change made by the filmmaker in his teaser. Earlier, he had called the filmmaker’s claim exaggerated in one of his tweets.

He said that I had met 3 mothers of Kerala who were concerned about their daughters and knew the fourth but there is a huge difference between 4 incidents and 32 thousand. He said that if the number of women who joined ISIS is accepted as 32 thousand. Then by adding their husbands, this number will be doubled, while the Western intelligence also claims that the number of Indians who joined ISIS is not more than 3 digits.

This development comes after the Kerala Chief Minister’s statement in which he termed the film ‘The Kerala Story’ as part of the Sangh Parivar’s hate propaganda, while the Muslim Youth League Kerala has sought to prove the film’s claim to be true. A reward of one crore rupees was announced.

On Sunday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan criticized the filmmakers of ‘The Kerala Story’. According to the official news agency of India, he said that the filmmakers are promoting the propaganda of the Sangh Parivar by raising the issue of ‘Love Jihad’.

He says ‘love jihad’ is a term that has been rejected by the courts, investigative agencies and even the interior ministry.

In a statement, the Chief Minister said that such a propaganda film and the way it portrays Muslims should be linked to the efforts of the Sangh Parivar to gain political advantage in the state. Accused of trying to

The film The Kerala Story is produced by Vipul Shah. It is directed by Sudeepto Sen and the script is also written by him. The teaser of the movie was released 7 days ago and it has been viewed 1 crore 7 million times on YouTube so far.

Director Sudiptu Sen claims that he has worked on the story of the film for seven years and during that time he has met and interviewed the affected girls.

The director claims that he has filed a Right to Information application in the court to know the actual number but has not yet received the report.

Producer Pul Shah also defended the film, calling it the result of years of research and hard work. Vipul Shah has said that this film tells a true story that no one dared to tell before.

On the other hand, the Supreme Court of India has rejected the request to ban the exhibition of the film. The petitioner had described the film as the worst form of hate speech and audio-visual propaganda.
