Famous writer Faseeh Khan highlighted the gaffe on Twitter and condemned the channel for the ill-considered act
Legendary Pakistani film and television actress Begum Khursheed Shahid passed away on Sunday after prolonged illness but Geo TV copied Begum Khursheed Mirza’s portfolio instead of her and publicised it.
Famous writer Faseeh Bari Khan highlighted the gaffe on Twitter and condemned the channel for the ill-considered act.

Faseeh Bari Khan tweeted that Geo News shared the news of the demise of Begum Khursheed Shahid but the information given was of Khurshid Mirza.

Notably, Khurshid Mirza who died in 1989 performed in many plays and a few of those were included in the news on Khursheed Shahid’s credit.
Drama serials including Zer Zabar Paish, Uncle Urfi, Kiran Kahani, Parchaiyan, and Dhund were originally played by Khurshid Mirza.
Begum Khursheed Shahid began her career as a child star and her debut comedy-drama for television was Ras Malai.
One of her famous works was Fahmeeda Ki Kahani Ustaani Rahat Ki Zubani.
Renowned for her powerful performances and professionalism, the artist was awarded Pride of Performance late in her career.
The news of her demise was shared by her actor son Salman Shahid and the members of the fraternity mourned the loss of a star.
