Imran Ashraf & Richa Chadha Hold Up for Supporting Cast

Actors in supportive roles face difficulties in the drama and film industries across the world. Imran Ashraf, an actor from Pakistan, and Bollywood actress Richa Chadha have expressed somehow similar views in regards to the supporting cast of dramas and movies.

Richa and Imran used to be the actors who struggled hard to pave their ways in the industry and were initially among those who were given fewer chances to showcase their brilliant acting skills.

Imran Ashraf maintained in a recent Instagram post that in Pakistan’s industry, supporting cast has a very limited margin to perform and display the acting skills.

The actor added that while writing the drama scripts, he always makes an effort to keep the performance margin for the actors in supporting roles.

Imran debuted in 2011 but unfortunately, his success story took a bit longer to surface in Pakistan. He stepped in the arena of fame with the success of his drama serial Dil Lagi in 2016.

The actor has worked tirelessly to carve his way among the famous Pakistani stars. However, he now enjoys fandom both as an actor and writer.

Similarly, Richa Chadha, maintained in a recent interview that if she were given the chance to produce a script, her preference would be to cast actors with lived experience from the oppressed castes.

Apparently, it is the dilemma of the performing industries of Pakistan and India that actors in the supporting cast need to dig out the margin of performance, however, the lead enjoys the “focus” in the script.
