In coastal Sindh, 41 people committed suicide because of inflation, Azekah Daniel

Actress Azekah Daniel has claimed that 41 people committed suicide in coastal areas of Sindh.

Actress has described ongoing backbreaking inflation in country as reason for suicides.

Actress Azekah Daniel wrote in her tweet that “41 people have committed suicide in coastal areas of Sindh due to inflation. Actress further wrote that “I think we have reached our lowest level”.

It should be noted that inflation in country reached highest level of 47.23% in the week ending on April 21. According to the data of the Bureau of Statistics, LPG became expensive by 4.75% and petrol by 3.67% in a week. Potatoes became expensive by 3.79%, tea by 3.61% and chicken by 2%.

Meanwhile, in a week, matchbox became expensive by 2.51% and bananas by 1.68%. According to the Bureau of Statistics, weekly inflation increased by 0.51%.
