Indian journalist takes dig at Akshay Kumar promoting Samrat Prithviraj

An Indian journalist Maria Khan has mocked Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who is busy in the promotion of Samrat Prithviraj.

Samrat Prithviraj is based on the heroism of the fearless King Prithviraj Chauhan, a king from the Chahamana dynasty, as he faces off against Muhammad of Ghor. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar in other pivotal roles.

Akshay Kumar posted his photo with the Indian home minister, captioning, “A very emotional and proud evening for me. Had the rare honour of having Hon’ble Home Minister. His appreciation for our film made our efforts successful! Ever so thankful.”

Taking a dig at Akshay Kumar, Maria Khan wrote, “The irony is that the kurta donned by actor Akshay Kumar during t promotions of his movie Prithviraj Chauhan, has Chikan work done on it.”

“This Chikankari (a type of white-on-white or whitework embroidery) was introduced in India by Noor Jahan, w/o the great Mughal emperor Jahangir,” she added.
