As the nation yearned for a snapback, the prowling coronavirus is resurrecting as it started hunting the vulnerable. It is now turning out to be abysmal ever since the decision to lift strictures was made.

There has been a spike in cases and more alarming is soaring fatalities.

With the current surge in cases, the decision of organizing a concert seems erroneous as Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6 has also been postponed indefinitely.

Though the organizers have announced to ensure implementation of social distancing protocols and precautionary guidelines.

Managing a multitude gathered to make whoopee would be impossible for the organizers as the masses have already started violating the precautionary measures ever since the virus waned.

Under circumstances when the country has not yet become virus-free and the vaccination drive has not come to full strength, the concert is going to leave several questions unanswered.

The declined fear of coronavirus has left the nation in jubilation as the masses seemed tired of wearing masks and maintaining social distance.

As Dr Qaiser Sajjad, General Secretary Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), noted that the decision to lift strictures has been taken in a haste by the government and there could be a third wave of coronavirus in the country.

Keeping his opinion in view, the decision of organizing a local concert of Atif Aslam amid the coronavirus pandemic seems flawed.
