Twitteratis flooded the internet with mourning remarks after watching the 12th episode of Hum TV’s Ishq-e-Laa starring Sajal Aly and Azaan Sami Khan which took a tragic turn with the death of Shanaya (Sajal Aly) besides criticising the acting skills of debutant Azaan Sami Khan as Azlan.
Ishq-e-Laa has gained attention from the audience quickly after being aired on Hum TV, undoubtedly due to brilliant performances of its cast with Sajal Aly, Azaan Sami Khan and Yumna Zaidi in the lead roles.
Many Twitter users posted their messages that Shanaya’s death scene had left them in tears. But some have slammed the questionable acting skills of Azlan (Azaan Sami Khan). Ishq-e-Laa is written by Qaisera Hayat and produced by Momina Duraid under the direction of Amin Iqbal.

Questioning the acting skills of debutant Azaan Sami Khan, Sadaf Haider wrote, “Ok so if such premium scripts are available why are skilled experienced actors forced to repeat the same old stereotypical roles & mediocre stories Why not use these new guys ? All the blame usnt on Azaan its on Producer & Director who put him in line of fire too”

Another said, “Unpopular opinion but supreme actresses like Sajal Aly and Yumna deserved better Male lead than Azaan Sami. Such a heartwrenching scene happened at the end of the episode but his energy was the same as someone who is annoyed by petrol price hike. Couldn’t feel the pain”

Producers have now become mere puppets & directors can’t select but are GIVEN a cast to work with however best they can.”

This is what nepotism can do, ruin the whole experience of a show. These scenes were supposed to cause goosebumps, yet I had to skip through them to avoid the cringe acting. Azlan seems more like a spoiled brat than someone who is grieving his wife’s death. #Ishqelaa pic.twitter.com/RvuyNgov6t
