With the uproar over the viral video of Café Cannoli in Islamabad, people across the world have been condemning the owners of the restaurant in contrasting styles. After the attention-seeking attempt by Shahbaz Taseer and the video protest by social media activist Mahwash Ajaz, here comes Jeremy McLellan’s comic way of protest against the Cannoli restaurant owners.
Jeremy McLellan, one of the famous United States comedians, has uploaded a video on his Twitter handle that shows an English-speaking waiter being mocked by his Urdu speaking customer for his poor grip over the Urdu language.
Jeremy has re-enacted the viral video of Cannoli restaurant in a mocking style in collaboration with comedian Aatif Nawaz to protest against Cannoli.

Earlier, as the mocking video surfaced on the internet, Jeremy was quick to respond and posted a tweet to boycott Cannoli restaurant.

He maintained that humiliation over language issues doesn’t land the person acceptable anywhere.
Meanwhile, Shaniera Akram, wife of famous cricketer Wasim Akram, also joined the bandwagon and challenged the owners of Cannoli in a post on social media to compete with her in the English language.
