Once again, Queen star Kangana Ranaut has come under fire after Twitter moved to permanently suspend her account following controversial remarks on violence erupted after election results in West Bengal. 

The reason behind suspending Kangana’s handle was violation of Twitter’s policy regarding hateful conduct and abusive behavior.

Taking to her Twitter account, Kangana had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to “tame” Mamata Banerjee using his “Virat Roop” from “early 2000s” in Bengal.

The comment was a reply to a tweet by journalist-BJP leader Swapan Dasgupta on the violence in Bengal since election results announced on Sunday.

Kangana’s tweet had created controversy and many called for action against the strident star which ultimately led to suspend her Twitter handle.

During an interview with news agency ANI, the 34-year-old actress said, “I have many platforms I can use to raise my voice, including my art in the form of cinema”.

In regards to this, a Twitter spokesperson said, “We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy”.

Soon after the news spread, a lot of Twitter users applauded the action taken against the actress after she made insensitive remarks.
