Some former employees have sued the reality TV star Kim Kardashian for breaching labor laws by not paying salaries on time and restricted them from taking lunch breaks.
The workers filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday.
The social media queen has been running successful business of cosmetics and fragrance under the name KKW Beauty and Skims which is worth around $1 billion.
The case was filed by seven former workers who were employed as gardeners and maintenance staff at the Hidden Hills home worth $60 million.
The employees reported that at the time of hiring, they were designated to serve as full-time staff. However, the condition was breached and they were treated as independent contractors.

Moreover, the lawsuit says that Kardashian had never paid wages on time instead she kept a portion of the wages for tax, which was never handed over to the government.
One of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s former staffer said that she didn’t maintain a time track of work hours and failed to pay overtime.
In response to one staff’s request for on-time salary and meal breaks, he was fired immediately.
During an interview, Frank Kim of law firm Kim Legal, who is representing the former staff said, “My firm is currently investigating other potential violations against these defendants, as well as other powerful families and businesses on behalf of everyday workers”.
In contrast to the recent allegations of breaching labor laws, Kim Kardashian’s representative has denied all accusations concluding that the hiring was done through a third-party vendor.
A similar case happened in 2017 in Pakistan when workers of a renowned clothing brand protested over non-implementation of labor laws at the production unit.
The protestors said they were not issued appointment letters besides complaining about lack of cleanliness at the workplace, absence of safety measures, no allowance for purchasing uniforms and no health insurance.
