Artists From Sub-Continent Request Support For Umer Sharif

Veteran comedian Umer Sharif requested Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to help him reach abroad for the treatment of an undisclosed illness in a video message recorded by anchor Waseem Badami.

The video clip, shared by Waseem on his social media, went viral and the fans started praying for Umer Sharif’s speedy recovery.

The clip showed the renowned comedian in a severely ill condition requesting Imran Khan to help him out as he always supported his Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital in all the ways he could.

“I, Umer Sharif, am now addressing the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan sahab. Whenever you have called me for anything, I have always been there for you, which is why I believe that you will also be there for me”, he said.

As per details shared by Waseem Badami, the veteran comedian has been facing technical issues in traveling abroad due to the pandemic and is not in need of financial help.

The clip, making rounds on social media, grabbed the attention of Indian singer and songwriter Daler Mehndi also who requested PM Imran Khan to support Umer in his hard time.

Umer’s wife Zareen Umer also took to Twitter and requested prayers for her husband.

Apart from her, a number of showbiz stars send their wishes and prayers for the legendary comedian on social media.

The widely circulated video grabbed the attention of the Special Assistant to Prime Minister who took to his Twitter handle and announced that the PM office is in touch with Umer Sharif on the directives of PM Imran Khan.

Not only this, Sindh Culture Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah has expressed good wishes for renowned comedian Umer Sharif and announced that the department will take care of his treatment.
