Actors have been sharing their experiences on social media to raise awareness regarding novel coronavirus
The year 2020 would not be remembered for anything else except COVID-19, and everyone hopes that the coming year is better than the outgoing one. With Mahira Khan joining the list of celebrities who have contracted COVID-19, fans are realizing that if their favorite actress can be a victim of this pandemic, then that means that no one is safe.
Who are the celebrities who contracted COVID-19 and then recovered to share their experience, let’s find out.
The most horrific case of the year was that of Rubina Ashraf, the veteran actress, and director who literally defeated death and came back to life after struggling in the hospital for nearly a month.
She was amongst the earliest victims of the virus during its first wave, and everyone who has watched her plays and consider her a part of their life prayed for her recovery and she is back to her old self now.
Another actress turned director Sakina Samo also contracted the virus but recovered just in time to dust off the rumors of her death.
In fact, without taking names, she blasted a ‘so-called journalist’ who after being blocked by her spread the news of her death.
Sakina’s Log Kia Kahenge co-star Saheefa Jabbar Khattak also tested positive for COVID-19 and thankfully recovered to the delight of her fans who want to watch her in more and more plays.
For one whole month, director Wajahat Rauf stayed in isolation after contracting COVID-19 earlier this year.
Thankfully, he resumed his duties after regaining his strength and even went onto receive an award for his web show “Voice Over Man”.
Another director who tested positive was Yasir Nawaz who had to stay in isolation to recover fully. His Mera Dil Mera Dushman co-star Naveed Raza also went through the same routine and even donated his plasma to help others fighting the same battle.
Yasir Nawaz’s wife Nida Yasir also contracted the virus and immediately quarantined herself, and shared her experience of recovery on TV and Social Media.
And then there was Vasay Chaudhry the talented writer, actor, and host of Mazaqraat who broke the news on social media and asked his fans to pray for his recovery.
It was a different case for Shafaat Ali, a renowned stand-up comedian, actor, and TV anchor who claimed that there was a time when he signed all his cheques and handed them to his wife because he somehow felt that he might not survive.
Thankfully, he did and has been advising others to take care of themselves and their family.
Musician and part of Strings, Bilal Maqsood, also tested positive for Covid-19 and recovered only because of quarantine and precautionary measures he took.
The same can’t be said of veteran actor Behroz Sabzwari who was hospitalized after his health worsened. He was tested negative twice before the doctor termed him positive for Coronavirus and thankfully he was taken to the hospital in time.
Sabzwari is now recovering at home and thanks to all those who prayed for his recovery and inquired about his well-being.
The Sabaat duo of Ameer Gilani and Usman Mukhtar also tested positive for COVID-19. Ameer Gilani was the first one to be hit and thanked his fans for their wishes and prayers.
Usman Mukhtar, on the other hand, announced the news via Instagram and requested his social media family to pray for him. After his recovery, he thanked them all for their wishes.
