Marvel Pays Tribute to ‘Black Panther’ on His Birthday

WEB DESK: Actor Chadwick Boseman, star of the film Black Panther was given a tribute by Marvel Studios on his birthday on November 29.

The video captioned “Long Live the King”, is paying tribute to the star on Marvel’s official social media handle for the pride he holds both on and off-screen.

Chadwick Boseman was an American actor who died of cancer at 43 on August 28 this year. He fought with the illness for almost four years.

Boseman came into prominence after performing in autobiographies of real-life figures, including baseball player Jackie Robinson and singer James Brown.

Chadwick achieved international fame for his role in Black Panther by Marvel Studios from 2016 to 2019.

Boseman also starred as the ruler of Wakanda, a fictional African nation with the most advanced technology on Earth.

Boseman also played roles in the Marvel films Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

However, Black Panther was widely seen as a cultural milestone for having a largely black cast and a black director.

As per the actor, the film had changed the meanings of being young, gifted, and black for him.

The final tweet posted to Boseman’s Twitter account announcing that he had died is now the most ‘liked’ tweet on his account.
