Ministry of Foreign Affairs Commemorates Coke Studio

Ministry of Foreign Affairs collaborated with the cultural phenomenon loved by 2.8 billion people, Coke Studio, for organizing a unique cultural diplomacy show.

The event was held in the Foreign office open-air lawns and exhibited the language of music and its impact on people.

The event highlighted Pakistan’s culture and arts and was part of the Foreign Minister’s Public Diplomacy Initiative.

Several foreign dignitaries, government officials, celebrities, and socialites enjoyed the melodies in Islamabad.

The attendees also witnessed the launch of a book Beyond the Wave that traces the journey of Coke Studio from the first season in 2008 to its 14th season in 2021.

The book was presented to the Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi who was also present at the occasion.

“History tells us that the subtle forces of cultural diplomacy have an impact and can create understanding among peoples from different backgrounds. I am therefore delighted to collaborate with Coke Studio, to bring Pakistan’s true image to the world: one of optimism, youth, unity and peace”, the foreign minister said.

Not only this, Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan alias Xulfi also attended the event and will be taking over as the producer for Coke Studio Season 14.

Coke Studio’s YouTube channel has over 10 million subscribers and is one of the most loved music programs not only in Pakistan but across the sub-continent.
