Oscar-Winner Jeff Bridges Diagnosed With Lymphoma

ENTERTAINMENT DESK: The veteran Hollywood actor and academy award winner, Jeff Bridges, has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, a cancer that begins in infection-fighting cells of the immune system.

The 70-year-old actor is known for his role in acclaimed movies such as The Big Lebowski, True Grit, The Fisher King and others. The actor is a seven-time Oscar nominee, winning the award in 2010 for his role as a country musician in Crazy Heart.

Bridges said that he had initiated the treatment and the prognosis was ‘good’.
Bridges used the signature voice of his character The Dude from the cult-classic film to disclose his condition and tweeted

The veteran actor said that although the disease was serious, he was fortunate to have a great team of doctors.

Bridges thanked his well-wishers and promised to keep everyone posted on his recovery.
