Pakistani Channels Fell Flat to Provide Quality Content on Eid

PEMRA,responsible to monitor the content produced by channels in Pakistan, has apparently turned a blind eye towards the aired content on Eid

Amid lockdown during Eid holidays, Pakistanis were mostly clung to their television sets for entertainment shows and programs but to their dismay, the channels including Neo News and Bol fell flat to provide quality content on the occasion.

A video clip of the Neo News morning show that went viral on social media shocked the viewers as the team members of the program could be seen quarreling during the live transmission.

The guests started squabbling with each other over a queer matter that nearly ended in fisticuffs.

The video showed one of the team members, a stand-up comedian, lambasted other members for dancing and singing live on the show and spreading vulgarity.

The comments irked the guests along with the host and they all ended up grappling with the comedian.

On the other hand, Bol channel invited Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul with her husband and daughter.

While tittle-tattling on the show, Zartaj Gul’s daughter imitated Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz, a lady way elder than her.

The host, Jameel Farooqui, instead of coming to grips, hoisted the situation.

Jameel Farooqui could be seen asking the child to mimic Maryam Nawaz repeatedly.

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), responsible to monitor the content produced by channels in Pakistan, has apparently turned a blind eye towards the aired content on Eid.
